I live with my wife Carolyn, in the beautiful city of Bath, England.. We have three grown up children and currently seven grand children. I have had a long association with photography, dating back to my early 20s. In those days, with money very tight and living in a rented flat, I bought myself a very simple manual SLR camera and used to process the films by blacking out our small kitchen and washed the prints in the shared bathroom. Once we had children, photography took a back seat until having just finished an MSC in Applied Immunology, I needed a new challenge and decided to take Photography A level at our local College. This reignited my interest and shortly after that I joined the Bath Photographic Society and have been a member ever since.
A few years later, a friend asked me to take some pictures at his wedding. I enjoyed it so much that I took up wedding photography at weekends. Although the day can be long and hectic, I really enjoyed the challenge and the emotional response from the clients when presented with their pictures or albums.
Now, having retired, I decided to have a go at painting with Acrylics. Following a course at the local college, I then tried oils and found the transition really hard. I now swap between the two but prefer Acrylics for their versatility.
I hope you enjoy my website which will develop as time goes by.
